TRATON GROUP Reports 30% Increase in Orders and Improved Profitability for H1 2026

TRATON GROUP has reported a 30% increase in incoming orders, reaching 181,900 vehicles in the first half of 2026. Sales revenue remained at €22.0 billion, similar to last year’s level. The adjusted operating result rose by 12% to €1.5 billion, with an adjusted operating return on sales improving to 7.0%. Profitability gains were supported by US tariff-related receivables.

Regionally, Europe saw a 10% increase in truck orders, while North America experienced a 141% surge, mainly in heavy-duty trucks. Meanwhile, Asia-Pacific orders grew by 63%, supported by Scania's NEXT ERA product line. In South America, demand rose 22% due to Brazil’s "Move Brasil" program.

The TRATON GROUP’s brands showed mixed performance. Scania and MAN improved their returns, while International Motors saw a decline due to high tariff costs. Volkswagen Truck & Bus faced challenges from currency effects.

Looking forward, TRATON plans further investments in technology and sustainable solutions, including battery-electric vehicles. The group expects a stronger second half of 2026.
