TRATON GROUP Reports Mixed First Half of 2025

In the first half of 2025, TRATON GROUP experienced a challenging yet notable period. The company saw an 11% rise in incoming orders, totaling 139,600 vehicles. However, unit sales fell by 4% to 153,100 vehicles, leading to a 6% decline in sales revenue, amounting to €21.9 billion. The adjusted operating result decreased by €750 million to €1.4 billion, and the operating return on sales dropped to 6.3% from 9.1% the previous year.

Scania Vehicles & Services and MAN Truck & Bus both reported declines in their adjusted operating returns due to fewer unit sales and currency impacts. Meanwhile, Volkswagen Truck & Bus slightly increased its operating return despite falling revenue, while International Motors faced challenges in North America.

The company has adjusted its full-year outlook, anticipating no more than a 10% decline or stable unit sales and sales revenue. The expectations for net cash flow and operating return on sales have also been lowered.
