LIBERO Football Finance AG Faces Audit Disclaimer on 2023 Financial Statements

LIBERO football finance AG has announced that its auditor issued a disclaimer of opinion on the financial statements and management report for 2023. The Supervisory Board approved the financial statements on January 30, 2025. The issue stems from ongoing legal proceedings in Spain related to a strategic partnership with FC Barcelona, affecting the publication of these statements. A partial settlement of EUR 25 million was reached, but EUR 15 million remains unresolved.

The Executive Board decided to request the termination of audit procedures to finalize the financial statements, necessary to convene the Annual General Meeting for 2023. A capital increase will be proposed to generate financial resources. The Executive Board remains confident in resolving the legal disputes with FC Barcelona and believes no financial disadvantages will result from these proceedings.
