Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S. Approves Foreign Debt Instrument Issue Limit
Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S. has announced a significant decision by its Board of Directors. During a meeting on February 6, 2025, the Board authorized the issuance of various debt instruments. These include bonds and subordinated debts, which can be included in the equity calculation. The total amount authorized reaches up to US$6 billion, or its equivalent in Turkish Lira or other foreign currencies.
The issuance offers flexibility, featuring different series and maturities with fixed or floating interest rates, dependent on market conditions at issuance time. These instruments are to be sold outside Turkey through one or multiple issuances without public offering.
The decision aligns with the Board's Communiqué and the declaration was made to ensure its adherence to regulatory standards.
