U-blox Reports Strong Q1 2025 Revenue Growth

u-blox AG, a leader in positioning and short-range communication technologies, announced a significant revenue increase of 26% in Q1 2025, reaching CHF 70.4 million. Revenue gains were driven primarily by the automotive and industrial sectors, with the Locate segment growing by 43% year-over-year. Short-range communications saw a 48% increase, showcasing a robust rebound in demand.

Despite the growth, EBIT reported under IFRS declined to CHF -49.0 million due to one-off charges from the Cellular business. However, adjusted cash EBIT improved significantly, marking a positive shift in profitability.

u-blox is divesting its Cellular business to Trasna, solidifying its focus on the Locate segment. The company remains optimistic about its future growth driven by increasing demand in automotive GNSS products, with expectations of continued revenue expansion and profitability improvements.
