UD Info has announced a significant milestone: the cryptographic module in its DB Series SSD Drives has attained FIPS 140-3 validation. This validation, granted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cryptographic Module Validation Program, marks the culmination of a three-year security certification roadmap for the company. It confirms that the DB Series cryptographic module meets recognized security standards, benefiting government, critical infrastructure, and mission-critical applications.

General Manager Gibson Chen emphasized that this validation underlines UD Info's dedication to providing security through independent validation. The DB Series is versatile, offering five certified configurations that combine AES-XTS-256 encryption, NVMe PCIe performance, and support for the TCG Opal Security Subsystem Class protocol.
