Brad Mello Joins Unusual Machines as VP of Manufacturing

Unusual Machines, a leading innovator in drone technology, has appointed Brad Mello as Vice President of Manufacturing. With a background in automotive manufacturing and industrial automation, Mello will oversee the development of the company's drone components business. His initial focus will be on establishing in-house manufacturing for high-performance brushless motors, a crucial drone component.

This initiative aligns with Unusual Machines' goal to integrate production vertically, enhancing control over quality, performance, and cost. The company also plans to develop in-house capabilities for motor winding, balancing, and assembly to reduce time-to-market and strengthen its supply chain.

CEO Allan Evans emphasized the strategic importance of Mello's appointment as the company aims to become a leading provider of U.S.-made drone components. Mello brings experience from previous roles at companies like Tesla and Mode Designs, where he led projects on efficiency and scalability.
