Vallourec wins a contract for the Atapu 2 project in Brazil
Vallourec, a specialist in premium tubular solutions, has announced that it has won a major contract with Allseas for the Atapu 2 offshore project, led by the Unitized ATAPU consortium, headed by Petrobras. Located in the Santos Basin, off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, this project involves the supply of 143 km of rigid carbon steel risers and flowlines with thermal insulation.
These components will be manufactured at Vallourec's Jeceaba plant and coated in Serra. The company is leveraging its recent acquisition of Thermotite do Brasil to strengthen its capacity for integrated, high-value-added solutions. Thanks to its local industrial presence, Vallourec aims to offer an optimized supply chain for this complex project.
