BlackRock sells Veolia shares
On March 31, 2026, Veolia Environnement announced that BlackRock, Inc. had fallen below the 5% ownership threshold in its share capital. As of March 27, 2026, BlackRock held 36,796,254 Veolia shares, representing 4.96% of the share capital and voting rights. This decrease in ownership resulted from the sale of shares, both on and off the market.
BlackRock managed these shares on behalf of various clients and funds. The securities held included ADRs and shares issued under financial contracts such as contracts for difference and securities lending. In addition, BlackRock also manages 3,997,372 other shares for which clients retain voting rights.
