Vossloh Secures Contract for California High-Speed Rail

Vossloh AG has been selected to supply concrete sleepers and fastening systems for the California High-Speed Rail. This marks the first high-speed rail line in the USA. The project's initial construction segment spans approximately 192 kilometers, with a contract value exceeding 40 million euros.

The agreement involves 335,000 concrete sleepers, including rail fastening systems, manufactured at Vossloh's Pueblo, Colorado plant. Deliveries commence in the third quarter of the year. These systems are tailored for high-speed rail, ensuring durability and minimal maintenance.

CEO Oliver Schuster highlighted the significance of the California project as a landmark endeavor in U.S. infrastructure. This project aims to enhance transportation by connecting major population centers efficiently.
