Waters Corporation Enhances Lab Productivity with New Detector

Waters Corporation has launched its Charged Aerosol Detector (CAD), tailored for the Empower Software, a leading chromatography data system (CDS). This new CAD enhances efficiency and reliability in Quality Control and Development settings, directly addressing communication issues experienced in up to 70% of multi-vendor LC-CAD configurations.

The detector offers nearly universal detection across a broad spectrum of analytes, including pharmaceutical formulations and environmental pollutants that are hard to measure using traditional UV or mass spectrometry methods. It provides sensitive and reproducible measurements even with no need for sample pre-treatment, ideal for a wide range of materials.

Waters' solution, integrated seamlessly with its renowned Empower Software, delivers enhanced user experience by reducing common issues found in multi-vendor setups. The CAD is available for order now, with shipping set for April 2026.
