ZCCM Investments Holdings Reports Significant Earnings Decline
ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH) announced a substantial decline in earnings for the first half of 2025. The company reports that its Earnings Per Share (EPS) fell by approximately 102% compared to the same period in 2024.
This earnings drop is mainly due to the absence of a one-off investment gain recognized in the previous year. Additionally, the underperformance of Mopani Copper Mines Plc and Konkola Copper Mines Plc, both undergoing strategic reforms, contributed to the losses.
The group recorded a net loss of ZMW 852.86 million for the six-month period ending 30 June 2025. This contrasts with a net profit of ZMW 55.32 billion reported in 2024.
