Zug Approves Metalli Development Plan

Zug Estates Holding AG has received a strong endorsement from Zug voters, with 57.8% approving the Metalli development plan. This approval signals a significant advancement for the Metalli living space project following extensive planning and public consultations. CEO Patrik Stillhart expressed his satisfaction, highlighting the project's contribution to addressing housing needs and enhancing outdoor and recreational facilities in Zug.

The project includes the creation of 130 residential units, 64 being affordably priced to meet cantonal requirements. Green outdoor spaces and a park-like roof terrace will be developed, along with improvements to local infrastructure. The new Metalliplatz square will enhance connectivity to Zug railway station, further increasing the shopping mall's attractiveness.

With the approval in place, Zug Estates will proceed with detailed planning and an architectural competition is upcoming. The canton’s approval of the plan is anticipated by late 2026.
