LISBERG, Germany, Aug. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CNTE is providing the energy storage solution for the Lisberg II BESS, a 7MW/16MWh battery energy storage project currently under construction in Lisberg, Trabelsdorf, Bavaria, Germany.

The project is integrated with a 5MWac photovoltaic power plant, combining solar generation with battery energy storage to improve renewable energy utilization and provide greater flexibility in power management.

With a total energy storage capacity of 16MWh and a rated power of 7MW, the BESS is designed to store electricity generated by the photovoltaic plant and dispatch energy according to operational and grid requirements. By coordinating solar generation with energy storage, the project can help reduce the impact of renewable generation fluctuations and enable more flexible use of clean electricity.

CNTE is supplying the energy storage solution for the project, supporting system integration and the reliable operation of the battery storage system. The solution is designed to meet the requirements of utility-scale solar-plus-storage applications, with a focus on system safety, operational reliability and long-term performance.

The project is currently progressing through the construction and commissioning stage, with grid connection expected in January 2027.

Germany continues to expand renewable energy deployment while increasing demand for flexible energy infrastructure capable of supporting higher shares of variable solar and wind generation. Battery energy storage is becoming an increasingly important part of this transition by helping balance generation and demand, improving renewable energy integration and enhancing grid flexibility.

The Lisberg II BESS represents another step in CNTE's continued development in the European energy storage market and further demonstrates the application of CNTE energy storage solutions in photovoltaic power plant projects.

As the project moves toward commissioning and grid connection, CNTE will continue supporting the deployment of safe, reliable and flexible energy storage solutions for renewable energy projects across Europe.
