Gang Wayz Bags Releases Live-Fire Demonstrations of Deployable Ballistic Bag

CALI, Colombia, July 28th, 2026, FinanceWire

Company-organized demonstrations address viewer questions about deployment, panel stability and emergency use.

Gang Wayz Bags announced the release of footage from two company-organized live-fire demonstrations involving its deployable ballistic fashion bag. Founder and CEO Raphael Ranger personally participated in both demonstrations by standing behind the deployed panel during the tests.

According to the company, the demonstrations were organized after online viewers raised questions about how the bag would behave when deployed during an emergency.

The first demonstration was conducted in a controlled environment to observe the performance of the deployed ballistic panel under the conditions selected by the company. Gang Wayz Bags said the initial test was completed before the team moved forward with a more complex, scenario-based demonstration.

“Designing the product is one thing,” Ranger said. “Standing behind it while live rounds are being fired is another. Even when you trust the engineering, there’s always pressure in a situation like that.”

Following the first demonstration, the company organized a second test based on questions submitted through social media. Rather than firing at a stationary panel, the team examined how the bag behaved while deployed and held in a position intended to represent emergency use.

One frequently raised question concerned whether repeated impacts would force the deployed panel backward or make it difficult to control. According to Gang Wayz Bags, the panel remained deployed during the company-organized demonstration and showed limited backward movement under the conditions used in the test.

The company also examined the position of the user’s hands while holding the deployed panel. During the demonstration, a projectile struck near Ranger’s gripping position. Gang Wayz Bags said its handle system is designed so that only the user’s knuckles make contact with the panel. Ranger completed the demonstration without a reported injury.

Gang Wayz Bags describes the product as a crossbody fashion bag that can be transformed into a substantially larger ballistic panel in approximately 0.5 seconds. The design is intended to combine everyday portability with rapidly accessible ballistic protection during emergency situations.

Gang Wayz wanted to prove that this could work in a real life scenario

“We wanted to answer real questions with real demonstrations,” Ranger said. “People wanted to know how the shield would behave outside of a laboratory, so we decided to show exactly that.”

According to Gang Wayz Bags, the product reflects more than two years of engineering, testing and development focused on making deployable ballistic protection practical enough to be carried as part of everyday life.

The company emphasized that no ballistic product can eliminate the risks associated with firearms. Gang Wayz Bags said the demonstrations were carefully coordinated, conducted under controlled conditions and involved inherent risk.

The demonstrations should not be recreated. The footage represents testing organized by the company and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that the product will prevent injury or perform identically under different weapons, ammunition, firing distances, impact locations or environmental conditions.

The demonstrations are also not a substitute for independent ballistic testing or certification. Complete testing information, including the applicable protection level, ammunition type, firing distance and independent evaluation details, should be reviewed before making conclusions about the product’s protective capabilities.

According to Gang Wayz Bags, the released footage has generated online comments and questions regarding the bag’s deployment system, panel stability and potential emergency applications. The company said its objective was to show how the deployable ballistic bag behaved under the specific conditions used during the demonstrations.

1st live-fire test was made under a more controlled environment.
