Hager Group accelerates B2B commerce transformation with Intershop

• International provider of safe and efficient electrical solutions migrates to Intershop’s cloud-based commerce platform

Jena, Germany, March 4, 2026 – Intershop Communications AG, a global provider of B2B commerce solutions for manufacturing and wholesale, has been selected by Hager Group as part of a B2B commerce transformation initiative. Hager Group will modernize and progressively evolve its B2B ordering capabilities.

The new solution is designed to deliver a consistent, omnichannel customer experience for wholesalers and panel builders, streamline business processes, and create a solid foundation for further international growth. Pilot projects are currently planned for Germany and the UK from 2026, with a potential phased rollout across additional European markets thereafter.

Deep integration into existing IT systems

The new B2B platform will integrate with Hager Group’s existing enterprise systems to support key commercial and operational processes. An API-based architecture ensures seamless integration with additional systems and provides the flexibility required for international deployment as well as future functional enhancements. These requirements for integration capability, scalability and enterprise readiness were key criteria in the selection process – ultimately tipping the decision in favor of Intershop.

Implementation by Intershop partner deenovum

The project will be implemented in close cooperation with Intershop implementation partner deenovum. “The success of programs like this depends on a clean technical implementation designed for international scalability from day one,” says Dr. Jürgen Nützel, CEO of deenovum Technologies AG. deenovum’s digital transformation experts will support the project from implementation through to the international rollout, contributing extensive experience from international B2B commerce projects. “A key focus will be the end-to-end integrations, connecting the Intershop platform seamlessly with Hager Group’s existing landscape and surrounding systems, and delivering a stable, scalable architecture for cross-country use”, adds Dr. Jürgen Nützel.
