Sage green was the most popular wedding color of 2026 on WeddingTemplates, a wedding stationery design tool that lets couples change each template’s colors, fonts and wording. About the data

WeddingTemplates analyzed 9,860 wedding invitations made in its editor between January 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026: 4,210 made in 2025 and 5,650 in 2026. Colors were read from each design as saved in the editor when it was first downloaded or shared. The main color of an invitation is the color, other than white, ivory, cream, gray or black, that covers the largest area of its text, shapes and illustrations; invitations with none of those colors count as neutral only. Colors were grouped into families using fixed color ranges, so sage green includes eucalyptus and olive tones, burgundy includes wine and maroon, terracotta includes rust and burnt orange, and brown includes mocha and chocolate. Seasons follow the wedding date on the invitation: spring is March to May, summer June to August, fall September to November and winter December to February; 570 invitations had no readable wedding date. Each couple is counted once, and test and staff accounts are excluded. Couples in the United States made 81% of the invitations, couples in Canada 8% and couples in other countries 11%. The figures describe invitations made on WeddingTemplates, not all weddings. Search figures are average monthly U.S. estimates from Semrush, retrieved October 29, 2026, and monthly U.S. estimates from Ahrefs for January to September of 2025 and 2026. The full analysis is published on the WeddingTemplates blog.
