SAINT-GOBAIN STRENGTHENS ITS POSITIONING IN CONSTRUCTION CHEMICALS AND LIGHT CONSTRUCTION IN LATIN AMERICA
Saint-Gobain is strengthening its construction chemicals platform in Peru and expanding its plasterboard production capacity in Brazil, reinforcing its position as a leader in light and sustainable construction solutions across Latin America to support regional growth.
In Peru, the Group has completed the acquisition of QSI Productos para la Construcción, further strengthening Saint-Gobain’s regional construction chemicals platform, which already includes Soquimic, since 2025, and the established presence of leading brands such as Weber and Z Aditivos. This transaction reinforces the Group’s positions in key end markets in the country such as infrastructure and mining.
In Brazil, Saint-Gobain has announced the construction of a fourth plasterboard production line at its plant in the State of Bahia. This investment follows the inauguration of a third plasterboard production line at the site back in 2024. Once completed, the site will host the largest plasterboard production line in South America, expanding the Group’s capacity to support the growing adoption of light construction in the region.
These two initiatives further reinforce Saint-Gobain’s position in Latin America as a strategic partner in the construction value chain and are fully aligned with the Group’s Lead & Grow plan.
