SourceX Puts Suppliers in Control of Enterprise Dataset Licensing, Deal by Deal

Los Angeles, United States, November 5th, 2026, FinanceWire

The supplier picks the scope, large datasets can stay in its own storage, and every deal has locked terms. SourceX details the controls behind its enterprise dataset licensing.

Suppliers set the boundaries of every enterprise dataset before anything moves.

SourceX is detailing the controls that govern its enterprise dataset licensing program, from who decides what is in scope to where large datasets physically sit. The message to suppliers is direct: you set the boundaries, deal by deal.

Enterprise records are sensitive by default. Support transcripts, CRM histories, internal documents and code review threads describe customers, employees and the decisions that connect them. SourceX built its process so the supplier sets the boundaries and every step leaves a record.

"Trust is the product," said Noah Loul, founder and CEO of SourceX. "A serious company should expect to decide what's in scope, see every step on the record, and walk away before signing if anything feels wrong. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every deal."

The supplier draws the lines

The supplier decides which systems, records and date ranges are in scope. A rights review then checks that the company owns those records and can license them, including any limits in customer or vendor contracts. After qualification, a single Master Supplier Licensing Agreement governs the relationship, and a short Dataset Deal Confirmation fixes the exact dataset, net payout and terms for each deal. Nothing is delivered until both are signed and SourceX gives the go-ahead.

Data Storage and Handling Procedures

Large datasets can stay in the supplier's own storage or ship on encrypted drives. Before data is used or shared, it is de-identified through approved processing routes. SourceX does not overpromise here: no method is perfect, and the agreement records that re-identification may still be possible. A diligence packet documents each dataset's source, rights, preparation and permitted use.

Controls in place today include organization-level access, private storage with short-lived links, a full audit trail and terms locked per deal. SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 are all in progress, and none has been issued yet.

Supplier Retention of Data and Rights

Originals stay with the supplier. Rights granted can include exclusive AI-training rights for a term set in the Confirmation and lasting rights over the prepared, de-identified dataset. Compensation is usually a one-time fee per agreed dataset, with standard payment within 60 calendar days of a valid invoice unless signed terms differ. A company can back out at any point before it signs, at no cost.

Enterprises can begin with a no-upload, no-commitment fit check at SourceX.
